Here are some links to websites of some of the people I have met and shared my travels.
Paul Watabe – www.crazypaul.com
I met Paul in Vilnius (Lithuania) and cycled from there to Riga (Latvia) with him for a very enjoyable week through horrendous winds! Paul is now off cycling south east asia (the mad man!).
Klaus Kuras – www.rad-fernweh.de
I first met Klaus in Riga (Lativa) where we decided to team up in Tallin (Estonia) and cross the Russian border together. He headed north from St. Petersburg to Finland when I went south to Moscow. He is still on his bike though and off in some remote part of the world!
Nicole & Ramona – www.beenthere-donethat.de
I met Nicole and Ramona on Olkhon island on Lake Baikal and travelled with them for two weeks down the rest of the Trans-siberian to Vladivostok where I set off for Mongolia whilst they headed to Japan.
Andre Tolme – www.golfmongolia.com
I met Andre one evening in Ulan Baatar (Mongolia) and he is clearly crazy – he is playing golf across Mongolia from the West to the East. Good luck to him when he resumes next year as he decided to stop now there is lots of snow and blizzards – maybe not so crazy after all!
Idelet & Martýn – www.rondjeaarde.nl
I met Idelet and Martýn in Ulan Baatar and travelled for 8 days on a tour around the Gobi with them. They have a very precisely defined travel plan for the year they are away – as their site shows!
I met Chris and Rosi in Irkutsk and then two weeks later travelled into Mongolia with them. They are trying to cross the planet for as little money as possible and had managed to pay for only 3 nights accommodation over 3 months when I met them!
